Cynthia Evans, Chief Financial Officer
Cynthia is the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at Dodge, overseeing the Foundation’s budget, investment strategies, and personnel. Cynthia works closely with the Foundation’s Board of Trustees and President and CEO Chris Daggett and manages relationships with investment consultants and financial agents to ensure the Foundation meets New Jersey’s future needs.
Cynthia, who has been with Dodge for more than 20 years, also manages the Foundation’s office operations and led the move to its LEED-Gold certified building in downtown Morristown, working closely with architects and engineers on design and construction. She continues to provide green building tours to school groups and professionals interested in learning about its energy-efficient features and getting up close and personal with its green roof and living wall.
Prior to joining Dodge, Cynthia worked as a program officer for New York City’s Community Development Agency, where she administered Community Service Block Grants for nonprofits. She was also a policy analyst with the General Accounting Office conducting Congressional research on issues including Immigration Policy and Security and Exchange Regulations.
Cynthia is treasurer of the Council of New Jersey Grantmakers and serves as an adviser to local non-profit boards including Roots and Wings the Congregational Church of Westfield.
Cynthia received a B.A. from Hamilton College, a M.P.A. from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School, and was awarded a Presidential Management Internship.
