Natural Gas Drilling in the Marcellus Shale Formation

On April 29, 2009 the Dodge Foundation and New York Community Trust hosted a webinar briefing for funders on the wide-ranging impacts of natural gas drilling in the Marcellus Shale formation that underlies parts of New York State and the Upper Delaware River Watershed.

If you are a funder who missed this event, or a concerned citizen or member of a nonprofit organization who wants to learn more about the “natural gas rush,” we encourage you to view the webinar (slides + story boards) here. The presentation was developed by Delaware Riverkeeper Network and Riverkeeper, Inc., two leading nonprofit organizations that are working to raise awareness about the environmental, health and community impacts of the drilling process, and to address these issues through regulatory, policy and legal channels.
