New Jersey Wind

Wind TurbineIt is hard to imagine pursuing the Dodge Foundation’s mission of fostering “a more livable world” without shifting to clean energy.  It’s simple enough in theory, but we recognize that voluntary change on such a large scale starts with one home, one nonprofit organization, one government entity, one business, one faith-based organization, one college at a time, all building momentum toward personal, societal and market transformation.

Toward building that momentum, the Dodge Foundation committed in 2006 to purchase New Jersey Wind to meet 100% of our electricity needs. The Foundation’s purchase (approximately 43,600 kWh) is the environmental equivalent of planting more than 3,250 trees or reducing our vehicle miles traveled by nearly 41,500 miles annually.

By supporting the Jersey-Atlantic Wind Turbine Project in Atlantic City, Dodge is helping to reduce pollution and reliance on fossil fuels, while simultaneously contributing to economic development in New Jersey.
