The BoardCorps Bootcamp provides a definitive foundation of best practices for effective and satisfying nonprofit Board participation.  This acclaimed, full-day, interactive experience will provide a comprehensive overview to help new and seasoned Board members increase their capacity to be purposeful and fulfilled leaders. Content will include the lifecycles of nonprofits, Board roles and responsibilities, legal liability, fundraising, financial management, Board development, strategic planning, and the Board’s relationship with the Executive Director.  Each participating nonprofit organization must bring a team  of up to 5 people which includes the Executive Director (or comparable staff) and Board Chair. Other attendees may include the Treasurer, Fundraising Committee Chair, and/or Governance Committee Chair. In addition, the Chair of the Personnel Committee and Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee will benefit from later sessions and may want to attend as part of the team.  This is the only workshop to which a number of Board members must make a commitment.  After this introductory session, the team splits up and attends appropriate follow-up workshops.
