To support Lustig Dance Theatre's professional company performance season at major venues statewide, its roster of education programs including a multi-week residency in the Piscataway public schools, and LDT's Dance & Wellness Studio in New Brunswick.

Organization Background

Lustig Dance Theatre's (LDT) mission is to be a vibrant, dynamic organization that awakens the love of dance by performing and educating. LDT was established in 2010 by internationally recognized choreographer and director, Graham Lustig. Housed in the culturally vibrant city of New Brunswick, NJ, LDT seeks to be a vital fixture in the arts community and provide exceptional service to the local community. LDT's programs serve dance novices to dance lovers, children to seniors, and recreational dance students to professionals.

Graham Lustig was the Artistic Director of American Repertory Ballet from 1999-2010. He is renowned throughout the State as both an innovative choreographer and inspirational teacher. The four-person LDT staff consists of: Artistic Associate, Bat Abbit; Marketing and Development Manager, Stephanie Evans; Director of Education, Lees Hummel; and Business Manager, Charlotte Rodriguez. Bat, Stephanie and Lees have all worked together for many years and have varying and diverse connections to the arts community. The ten (five men, five women) LDT professional dancers and one apprentice dancer hail from major universities and training programs and are a culturally diverse group. LDT's faculty ranges from company members to certified dance teachers.
