For support of the development of an arts education strategic plan for Trenton Public Schools in partnership with a Community Arts Team and guided by the Kennedy Center's Any Given Child program.

Organization Background

The Trenton Public Education Foundation (TPEF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit education foundation that was established in 2003 by a group of dedicated community people to support the students of the Trenton School District.

TPEF's mission is to broker, foster and leverage resources that enhance and promote educational opportunities for the students in the district.

The Executive Director of the organization is a retired educator. She was a classroom teacher, legislative aide to the Chair of the Assembly Education Committee, NJDOE regional coordinator for whole school reform, and former Education Director for the Foundation for NJ Public Broadcasting, Inc. with experience in administering large grants from the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), Corporation for Public Broadcasting(CPB) and others, such as Bank of America, to conduct teacher training institutes. Peter Martin, CPA and TPEF Board member, will manage fiscal grant responsibilities for TPEF. TPEF will work with its key partners on the Community Arts Team to implement Phase One of the the Kennedy Center Any Given Child program.
