Perkins Center for the Arts' mission-based work has been far reaching across South Jersey since 1977 by focusing on "making a better South Jersey" through facilitating experiential arts and cultural programs; diversifying audiences by eliminating barriers to the arts; and supporting artists and musicians in their careers. These programs and services not only contribute to improving the quality of life in South Jersey communities, they endeavor to facilitate meaningful experiences through the arts, enrich lives, and inspire learning, collaboration, interdisciplinary & intercultural experiences. They include: conservatory; visual & performing arts classes; exhibitions; concerts; school residency programs; camp; and community enrichment projects. Perkins Center for the Arts is recognized by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts as a Major Presenting Organization for free and fee-based arts programs that promote participation, understanding, and communication among diverse audiences. Perkins Center has a 13 member board of trustees and a staff of 14.
