To support a public education and outreach campaign to raise awareness about the 2017 ballot measure that would direct pollution settlements to environmental restoration in harmed communities.
Founded in 2010, the New Jersey League of Conservation Voters Education Fund (NJLCVEF) educates citizens about the importance of funding open space, safeguarding clean water, and securing clean air and then encourages those citizens to hold their legislator's accountable. Our primary objective is to ensure environmental leadership at all levels with a focus on the Governor and the New Jersey state legislature. Unfortunately, in recent years far too few elected officials have made our environment and our health a priority, and many citizens are concerned that our environmental laws, regulations, and programs are under attack by those who seek to roll back the substantial progress which has been made in the last 50 years. Somewhere along the way we have lost the publics' interest in environmental protection and we need to get them to cultivate change and demand action.
