Susan Vega

Controller

Susan Vega works across the organization to develop, implement, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures in support of the Dodge Foundation’s core operations.

Susan Vega brings 20 years of financial and strategic alignment experience to her role as Controller of the Dodge Foundation. In this role, Susan works across the organization to research and implement financial policies, procedures, and infrastructure in support of the Foundation’s priorities.  

Before joining the Foundation, Susan served as a consultant at BDO-FMA, where she worked with various non-governmental organizations in helping to strategize a holistic approach towards financial compliance. Prior to that, she served for five years as the Director of Finance & Administration at the Tinker Foundation, where she successfully worked on projects from financial transactions to human resources. 

Susan has spent her entire career serving the non-profit sector in a mostly financial capacity. She is proud of her contributions towards a shared mission and looks forward to working with the Dodge Foundation team build a just and equitable New Jersey. 

Susan holds a B.S. in Finance from Brooklyn College. Originally from Brooklyn, she currently lives in Astoria, Queens and spends her free time on architectural walking tours, perusing historical artifacts, and researching the effects of good nutrition on well-being.
