Grantmaking

In 2021, we put actions to words and began imaging a new path forward for what and how we fund. We have been building and piloting a new grantmaking framework that aligns our portfolio around one guiding vision of a just and equitable New Jersey.
We will be increasingly directing our resources towards partners whose work addresses the underlying factors that make New Jersey a state with some of the worst equity indicators in the country, and that repair systemic harms that have long plagued low-wealth communities of color in the state.
During this time of transformation, we continue to fund the Arts, Education, Environment, and Informed Communities; however, we are not accepting letters of inquiry or unsolicited funding requests. We are working to shift this practice in the future.
In the meantime, we may open calls that center on strategies essential to systems change that bring about a just and equitable New Jersey. Click here to learn more about our community-centered program, the Momentum Fund.
