Cathy Garcia leads the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation’s portfolio of investments and partnerships advancing economic mobility. Her work includes grantmaking, stakeholder engagement, and strategic outreach in support of organizations working to close New Jersey’s racial wealth gap.
Prior to joining the Dodge Foundation, Cathy served as Director of Funder Community and Learning at Resilia, where she led and scaled a national learning network of grantmakers using technology to practice more responsive and equitable philanthropy. She has also held senior program leadership roles at Robin Hood, where she oversaw community-led economic mobility initiatives, and at the Prudential Foundation and Citi Foundation, where she helped steward hundreds of millions of dollars in philanthropic capital toward inclusive economic growth.
Cathy began her career organizing communities on environmental justice issues in New York City, where she was born and raised. A fiercely proud daughter of Colombian immigrants, she is a graduate of Hunter College CUNY and NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
