Sam Teigen

Controller

Sam Teigen works across the organization to develop, implement, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures in support of the Dodge Foundation’s core operations.

Sam Teigen brings more than 25 years of nonprofit experience to his role as Controller of the Dodge Foundation. In this role, Sam works across the organization to research and implement financial policies, procedures, and infrastructure in support of the Foundation’s priorities.  

Sam has served a variety of nonprofit organizations whose missions have focused on bioethics, the arts, and legal services. Prior to joining the Foundation, Sam spent 22 years at the Greenwall Foundation in a variety of roles including finance, grants administration, and general operations. 

Sam has a B.A. from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and an M.P.A. from NYU’s Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service.  Sam is a competitive runner who also likes to run as many different streets as possible, with over 2000 unique miles in New Jersey.  An avid cruciverbalist, he enjoys puzzles of all varieties.
