Naeema Campbell Named Environment Program Officer

September 23, 2020

We are pleased to announce Naeema Campbell has been named Environment program officer. She is assuming the responsibilities of Margaret Waldock, who was recently named Duke Farms’ executive director.

In this expanded role, Naeema, formerly Environment and Informed Communities program associate, will lead and manage the Foundation’s Environment program, which supports nonprofit organizations working to safeguard our land and water resources, reinforce and restore natural systems, and engage New Jersey residents in the advocacy and implementation of policies and actions that promote sustainability across the diversity of communities in our state. Additionally, she will continue to coordinate the Zero-Waste Initiative with the Virtual Dodge Poetry Festival.

Naeema will shape the future of the program toward building the capacity of communities of color and low-income white communities to inform, influence, and implement solutions to environmental degradation and climate change vulnerability in their communities. She is looking forward to working with current Environment grantees and developing new connections.

Prior to joining the Dodge staff, Naeema worked at Partners for Health in Montclair supporting their community health-related grantmaking and collective-impact initiatives. She graduated from Tufts University where she studied economics and community health.
