WHAT WE DO
: Artworks provides a variety of programs to serve the needs of the Greater Mercer area; art exhibitions, adult education, youth education and our remarkable public art program (which includes Art All Night and Art All Day), which enrich and enliven the lives of our local community members through culture and creativity.

Artworks-ArtAllNighIronPour

We believe art is transformational to communities, and the changes that access to culture and creativity provide through the programs Artworks offers are critical to the Greater Trenton and Mercer County community. At a time when the image of Trenton has been tarnished by economic and social problems, Artworks programs have provided a community-building bridge between the city and its surrounding suburbs, offering creative outlets and programs for residents as well as attracting people into the city for diverse and uniformly positive arts events.

WHY WE’RE GREAT: We bring high quality, inspiring work to Trenton to which our community may not otherwise have access, provide opportunities for the public to participate in art activities rather than just be casual observers, offer career development workshops to help artists in their career path, give mentorship and supplies to under-served artists in the community and create spaces for experimental, non-traditional art to take place.

HOW YOUR DONATION WILL HELP: Arts education opportunities for youth in our geographic area continue to be meager and leave a great need.  There is a dearth of programs for youth to participate in and learn about both art making and art appreciation. Your donation will help us deepen our impact in our community by allowing us to purchase supplies and take our programming into these communities in need.

NEEDS: Become part of our community, attend events and workshops, buy local art, volunteer for our events!
