As part of our ongoing commitment to providing technical assistance opportunities for our grantees, this year we are offering some exciting new options for making the most of communications and media tools to promote your good work in 2016.

Instead of a workshop series, our creative partner Social Impact Studios will help our grantees in more direct ways — while also hosting regional learning-community-style events throughout the year.

The main hub for this series is hosted by Social Impact Studios.

Go to the Public Image Works Hub

Social Impact Studios share their “outsider’s perspective” of each grantee’s public image, which is a review of your presence on the web, brand identity and social media outreach. Each organization will have the opportunity to receive their own “Public Image Snapshot,” complete with insights, recommendations, easy tips to help you enhance your public image right away and more advanced options if you want to go even farther.

  • We host phone support office hours three Thursdays of every month from 12:30-2 p.m. to review your Public Image Snapshot or get your communications questions answered. All Dodge grantees can participate, but must sign up for a 30-minute slot in advance.
  • The third Thursday of the month will be devoted to a webinar open to all grantees. Topics include: Best Practices for Getting Attention, ADA Compliance, Public Awareness & Advocacy Campaign Case Study, End of Year Campaigns, Tips to Keep Your Message Simple, How to Find the Right Giveaway. Please note: All webinars are recorded and available on the Public Image Works Hub.

Join other grantees at a regional in-person event to learn more about communications best practices, explore new tools and test your own public image with your peers. More information will be coming your way soon so you can save the date.

All Dodge grantees are welcome into Social Impact Studios’ Public Image Works community. You can join the Facebook Group right now to get access to tips and best practices – and a robust conversation with peers tackling challenges in their communications and community engagement work. Or email to get on the list for updates.

A limited amount of additional consulting is available for Dodge grantees who have participated in the “Office Hours,” webinars, and/or salons and want to dig more deeply into their public image. Or perhaps you need help making specific things happen such as website design, message editing, promotional strategy, etc. More information will be coming your way soon about how to apply for this additional assistance.
