With Earth Day right around the corner, Sustainable Jersey is pleased to release our first overview video. Give us 3 minutes and we’ll give you a snapshot of the Sustainable Jersey program.
The video includes comments by former Governors, Christine Todd Whitman, and James Florio, who both lend their support to the non-partisan Sustainable Jersey effort. William Dressel, the Executive Director of the New Jersey League of Municipalities and Gray Russell, the Environmental Coordinator for Montclair Township, also provide insights on the impact of the program. After only 4 years, we have nearly 400 participating municipalities in the state of New Jersey representing nearly 75% of the population.
Sustainable Jersey brings local governments into direct collaboration with their communities to work on our most important sustainability issues. Today the needs are great, and we call on all citizens of good conscience to support, and get involved in, legitimate efforts to plan for a sustainable future. We encourage you to make use of the opportunity that initiatives like Sustainable Jersey provide to help shape the future of our beloved State.
